Introducing...

The Skive

His real name unknown to anyone (possibly even to himself), The Skive is a shady character from the backwater Imperial world of Baudelaire Saltaire, from a small coastal settlement surrounded by utter wilderness.

After a deal went wrong, The Skive found himself stuck on a spaceship with a bunch of misfits, owing a bit too much money to an unseen stranger who 'claims' to be an Inquisitor.

Typical phrase: "Oi, Mr Techy-priest-guy, change yer bleedin' anti-freeze, you pong sumthin' rotten, mate!"

Klightus Vern
Psyker

Young Klightus had a privileged upbringing. His family were one of the ruling classes of the hive Extrantius on the planet Ymeddial Prime. A planet whose moons where rich in Tritantium ore, an essential raw component in armament manufacturing which was mined and then shipped to the hive for refinement and then onto to the great Adeptus Mechanicus forgeworld complexes in the sector tasked with creating the tools to defend the God-Emperors realm. Such was the value of this ore the Vern Clan had considerable wealth even by the standards of the ruling classes.

Klightus led an unremarkable early life, never wanting for anything, tutored by the best scholars in the hive he showed no real flair for education or ambition to progress through up the family order. His tutors often remarked that he seemed distant or not quite there. This all changed in his early teenage years. Puberty brought with it tremendous headaches which became visions of unimaginable sights leaving Klightus withdrawn, unable to eat, he turned from a healthy young boy into a scrawny, palid teenager. His family fearing the worst called upon all the best doctors in the hive to try and help Klightus.

One of the doctors was also attached to the Inquisition's secret presence on the planet and immediately recognised the visions and headaches for what they were. Klightus' until now dormant psyker ability was beginning to awaken, he acted quickly by administering neural blocking meds to temper the flow of psyker energy and immediately contacted the nearest black ship for Klightus rendition to the nearest assessment centre to measure his ability and resilience to the newborn power within him. Klightus was branded with a pentragammic ward at the base of his neck and found to be sufficiently strong to withstand the pressures and temptations a sanctioned psyker must face. His training was difficult and long involving drug therapy and mental torture at the hands of his would be trainers, a process that may have left him with some resentment against the imperium for dragging him away from his simple, privileged life and inflicting such agony on him. He was due to be attached to the Imperial Guard as a sanctioned psker, part of this sectors tithe of troops to be sent to the Cadian Gate, a virtual death sentance. Against protocol, Klightus contacted his family and begged them to help him. Through extensive bribery and blackmail against the doctor who discovered his talent the family were able to get Klightus recommended for Inquisition service. He begins that career now.

My name My age I will tell

My name
My age
I will tell you that when i deem it nessesary. Where i come from, what were my parents like, did i finish my schooling, whats my favorate food! Who cares! whats behind me is behind me and is irrelivent.
I will however tell you the story of how i came to be here now.
I used to have my future all planed out,3 months ago that changed forever. All i wanted to do was kill, kill for the emperor, yeah if you like,to be honest i will kill in anyones name if it means i get away with it.
My life in the imperial guard, what a joke. Still silly me for believing the words of another, that wont happen again, that i promise you.
"In the regiment you will kill in the name of the emperor ",he said, upon induction that changed,oh you have a finger missing. BANG the rubber stamp hit the enrolment form it said "logistics corp aproved".
Logistics corp, nah not me i would rather die than waste away delivering rations or cleaning the letrenes.
Still the training was the same as a "real" guardsmans so i bided my time. The night of passing out i found that lying fecker who promised me i could kill, and i did,i killed him.
I dont regrett it and i dont regrett killing the first of the others that came after me,the way i see it you cross me and its fair game.
The last to come after me,well that was different ,i never stood a chance. Next thing i know i am on a ship,it has to be a ship i can here the drone of the engines im sure of it. I have a roll of parchment in my hand with a wax seal that strikes fear into my heart,i unroll it and read it.

You wish to learn how to kill and serve me by killing leave by the door on the right.
If you can not accept this the door on the left will be opened for you.

Theres a sign above the door on the left, AIRLOCK. Feckers!

So here i am 3 months later,im a surviver so i will roll the dice and see what comes my way,i step through the door on the right and look my future in the eye.

Hello feckers!!!

Awesome!

Enoch 'Scammer' Nixos Enoch

Enoch 'Scammer' Nixos

Enoch Nixos was orphaned at the tender age of 3 during the Food Riots which struck his birth planet, the Hive World of Tranch, as his parents were both loyal servants of the Administratum and he was fortunate enough to be given too and raised by the Schola Progenium.

An intelligent youth with an inquiring he naturally progressed through the Schola destined to join the Adeptus Arbites, the enforcers of the Emperor’s Laws.

At the age of 16 he received his first posting to the Hive World of Baraspine, serving in the industrial districts, permanently covered in a thick industrial. Early he was optimistic and keen to uphold the Emperor’s Law, only to discover that the truth in the Vengis Hive at least was quite less then black and white for it was common practice amongst both the local police force and the arbites that for a few gelt’s illegal imports and other less savoury activities could carry on unchecked. Just as the thick chemical pollutants inevitably poisoned the young man leaving his with a hoarse hacking cough so the corruption slowly twisted the idealistic young intellect.

Within a few years Enoch was often to be found on checkpoint duty near the Star Port, his keen intellect often discovering those passing with hidden contraband, from whom he was able to extort a ‘passage fee’, split between the finder and his superiors. On a fateful day a small party of off worlders had the misfortune to pass through his check point. They seemed normal outwardly, but Enoch could feel in his bones that something was’nt quite right, the party was pulled to one side as he questioned them, his partner manning the check point.

Very much aware that something about this group of offworlders was’nt quite right but unsure quite what, the scam began as he threatened them with temporary imprisonment and further investigation – though of course he could just let them go – but it would cost them. Most of the party seemed riled by this, though Enoch noticed one amongst there number in particular who seemed highly amused, angered he began to rifle their belongings, turning up several strange artefacts, contraband and even a digital weapon – Enoch heightened his extortionate demands, making it quite clear to them just how bad this would be for them – and just how much more it would cost them to pass through now.

He finally reached for a large locket like item, opening it, feeling his stomach churn, and dissolve. Before him he held what could only be an Inquisitorial Rosette – looking up his eyes met the man who had seemed so amused, now with a grim smile the man nodded slowly and deliberately as if to confirm Enoch’s fears as he realised just how out of his depth he had suddenly become.

The Moral of this story?

Don't try and scam an Inquisitor.

Quality!! :)

Quality!! :)

Hoping to blast a good way through the adventure tonight, though stopping for pizza mid-way might be a good idea after a bit.
