its a good start towards the G.T list buddy. What you gonna add some killa cans and deff dreads?????
(i would their great)
Well I want to do a 9 Killa Kan, Wrath of Kan type list because it would be funny.
It basically depends on if they bring plastic kans out (March possibly), in which case I'd do mass boy list, couple of big meks, and 9 kans.
n/a
lol..I love that Wrath of Kan
Looks like a nice (and by that I mean nasty!) list.
n/a
Don't forget that if you take big meks you can take a couple of deff dreads as troops as well.
Sounds positively evil, especially with a couple of kustom force fields.
I've painted 10 orks! - I'll put a picture up later.
1500 Points i'm aiming for...if i don't get sick of painting boyz. I will run the simple tactic of running everything forward and beating stuff up in CC...If i don't get all the boyz done in time for the GT, I will kindly ask Clive if he will lend me the stuff I'm short (assuming he isn't orking at the GT).
HQ/General
Big Mek with Kustom Force Field - 85pts
Big Mek with Kustom Force Field - 85pts

Dude, your more than welcome to borrow any orks you want assuming i'm no taking them. A note on the deff dread, it can be taken as a troop choice but doesn't count as a troop ie cannot hold objectives etc. Also why take the killa kanz with grotzooka? Better to have 2 units with all close combat weapons as this wil swing any combats well your way especially against any elite such as termi's with thunder hammers which seemed to be in favour at this years GT and also if you give them weapons to fire then they will want to shoot rather than run whilst your foot slogging boyz will then start to outpace them as they will be running, also although grotzooka are good at taking out large numbers of people with there area shots you are expecting to have your army in close assualt turn 2-3 and therefore won't be wanting these, better to take the last unit with either rokkits or kustom mek blasta (the melta will help take down any transports inc landraiders which are otherwise a big pain in the arse even with powerclaws on your nobs as the rest of the unit then becomes redundant. Also if you start taking battlewagons you won't be able to take the killa kanz as well! Look to the elites section. A unit of loota boyz will nearly allways disable/destroy a transport vehicle a turn or they can be good against higher toughness units (eg bikers etc!) Also why take 2 meks when with careful placement one will do the job for you and then you can fit in a Warboss with p.klaw as well. Just food for thought really. C.
Cheers dude, plenty to think about!
I don't think you can give the Killa Kan an additional CCW, it think its only a choice of range weapon. Though I may be wrong, I don't have the codex with me.
Yeah I know the deff dread can't contest, it is a vehicle afterall.
Cheers for the loan offer, I will see how I am doing in a few months. 90 boyz is a lot to paint, even in 8-9 m

Apologies for the poor picture.
One painted Warboss hoorah. Painted 30 boyz and 1 Warboss, just another 60 and 9 killa kans to go...

n/a
I like it. The only other thing I think you need to do is drill out the gun barrel. I always think they look better that way.
Otherwise keep up the good work!
n/a
Looking good. The lighting on the photo i actually pretty good, it's just that the white balance is off.
n/a
Looks awesome!
n/a
I don't have a drill bit small enough to drill out the barrel...

Looking very good mate. Ignore the GW over priced tools. Go to the model shop on Fore Street and get a pin vice there. Same thing as GW, 2 quid cheaper.
n/a
That is a stonker, but I do agree with Jonathan, I'll bring my pin vice on Tuesday :P
Cheers for the positive comments guys - spend a little bit more time on the characters.
A newly painted Big Mek with kustom Force Field for protecting my Kanz and Battlewagons!
