Tim, if you want a game of 40k on tuesday then i can play, more than happy to give the eldar another go since this is practice for the tourno soon. What say you? Are we going to win or what?
Well, still waiting to find out whether that Fallen game is going to go ahead but in principle yes. Tell you what, talk to me at the club tomorrow and we'll set something up, alright? I might take my Berzerkers for another spin, they're good fun!
Well if I've understood Ian right, then we won't be playing the fallen game during club time. So, if you're still up for it I'm game for next week. Might give my Berserkers another go, they're always good fun!
Btw Tim, you were looking for a land raider right? If it is any good, I've got a spare (unassembled) standard Land Raider lying about. That any good to you?
Umm, if thats not going to tim then I would be interested in it for certain. I'll have my brother paying me the £20 he owes me at the weekend so I'll be able to get it.
FYI - We all understand the concept of fun and fluffy lists, but turn to turn up with such a list then purposely play it like a cretin, with a flippant disregard for in game etiquette is certainly no fun for you opponent.
Ach, no sense of humour. In any case, Tim- tell you what, give me a couple of weeks and I'll give you a more serious game; add some daemn princes or something. Happy?
I have an amazing sense of humour thank you! I find a great deal of things funny and love to laugh. I fail to see whats funny about paying £2.50 to waste an hour of my life watching you pile up bits of grey plastic. I've played some great games of 40k in my time, but that has to be the worst.
I'm sorry if you have a different interpretation of what fun is, as regards playing it. I understand it is only a game, but when you suggest we play you're entering a contract whereby you need to make it fun for the other player. You obviously enjoyed the hijinks of rolling up with 60 bezerkers (oh the whimsy), I found it tiring and flat out boring. You conceded a game before rolling a dice by taking that list. Considering you've been vocally critical of other peoples lists and imagination, that's pretty hypocritical. That's why you're taking shit for it now.
We're a very accepting club and are more than happy to let people come in and play whatever they want, but I can honestly say that before you started attending I had never heard anyone receive sideways comments regarding list originality. We've always had a strong unspoken ethical code that we'll play hard and play to challenge and above all play in a fun manner. Since you've been coming in, I've heard you take a few pops at the Ork Kan list (which in my mind and many years of experience is both original and challenging) amongst others.
You know, I would never criticise you for playing that list against someone who enjoyed playing against it, but please, don't offer me a game then patronise me with that. Context is important, sir.
