So now we're not under GW's rules at our venue we're obviously able to play non-GW games freely - aside Warmachine which is already being played are there any other specific games or broad genres anyone is interested in?
I'm quite tempted to look into Secrets of the Third Reich and A Very English Civil War.

Well we're getting everyone involved in BFG...
Bland o wars a given tim lol, btw I picked up some black scorpian royal marines, you an James had some other models from that range didn't you?
Honsou, BFG's great, I was leaning towards non-GW though as I figure GW games are easy to find players for while others are somewhat harder.
Incidently tim, Ive got some free armarda era rules, might be worth trying this week for some ideas, up for it?
If anyone's interested in some non-herohammer fantasy gaming I'd like to try Armies of Arcana, it's basically a streamlined version of Warhammer 3rd edition with properly balanced points.
Plus some Infinity for SF skirmishes.

A good game you can play like man o war is uncharted sess and use the man o war models or buy the fleets available for the game from clifton road.Marcus has some good experiance with the game and rates it very high.
Also from a BFG point of view there is a game available called fire storm armarda from the same company who makes uncharted seas,i have the rule book, you can use any spaceship models you like but they do sell there own. All of the fleets for ether game system can be purchased from clifton road for about £30.00 for a full fleet (about the same price as e bay).
Rob, first point i would like to make is,you are gay!
Secoundly,Micras are rubbish!
Lastly,i have a secrets of the third reich force of americans including infantry a mech a heavy machine gun and an A.P.C.
I also have both rule books buddy so if you want a look just ask you big gay!
Could try unchartered seas or whatever it is James, no idea how close that is rules wise to man o war, the look is very similar tho, I think they have the book at Clifton plus a good selection of the models
Pfff, beaten by seconds :P
Only in YOUR dreams!
Well thats a given, but at least I don't need my own private oil rig to fuel it!
Consider this asking then! :P
Then i shall get the books to you mate. I am hoping to be in tomorrow night but have a few things to sort out first mate. If i cant get to you tomorrow how are you fixed for Rygas on Wednesday?
Nice one, thanks! Will definately be in the club this week, don't think I'd be able to do Rygas this week though.
Hey, just found out via Beasts of War.
Mantic Games is finally gettin round to creating a ruleset for the miniatures is created.
When the Boxset comes out, should one or two of us by the Starter Set to give it a thourough play through?
The Box set will be Dwarfs vs Undead.
Yes they are, was mentioned in the manticore newsletter, they are written by Allisso Cavator (yes Ive butchered the spelling!)
I barely have time to play 40K as it is!
I saw a fair bit of Warmachine during the first week and I have to say my curiosity was well and truly piqued!
They are indeed. True to his style they are looking to be extremely straight-forward. If you're interested in more about it, there are some fairly in-depth interviews on Beasts of War- including a demonstration and some info about the upcoming public beta. Looks like good stuff, and they've got some interesting ideas!
For you tourney nuts... you'll be happy to know it is designed specifically with tournament play as an option in mind. It was apparently one of Ronnie's primary requirements... anyone else seeing a mantic hosted tournament in the future?
Mantic has a pretty funny little vid about how they "captured" Alessio as well. :)
It looks really interesting actually, so if we want to look into that once the box-set comes out (or perhaps before that) I'm on board!
Oh, and Rob: Alessio Cavatore. ;)
